It is with immense joy and gratitude that I pen this testimonial for my beloved primary teacher, Mrs. Jessi John Basco, the remarkable educator who laid the very foundation of my academic journey.
In 1984, when the entire Dharmapuri district had limited access to English-medium education, Mrs. Jessi John Basco had the extraordinary vision and unwavering courage to establish an English-medium school in the remote village of Oddapatti. Her pioneering effort did not just introduce us to the English language—it opened doors to a world of opportunities for countless rural children, myself included.
Today, whatever I have achieved in my professional and academic life is rooted in the strong, value-based foundation she built during my formative years. Her passion for teaching, her relentless dedication, and her commitment to nurturing young minds have left a lasting impact on all of us who had the privilege of being her students.

As she embarks on a new chapter with Y AXIS Institute of Learning, an online tutoring platform catering to students from Grades 6 to 12, I am confident that she will continue to inspire, uplift, and transform the lives of many more students—this time on a broader scale, along with her team of expert educators.

Jessi Madam is a Senior Chemistry Subject Matter Expert with whom I was associated for a decade and hope to get her services in future also. I still vividly remember a lesson from when I was in 10th grade—our Mam Jessi John Basco teaching me salt analysis.
